Nobody bothers me

KNO arts of te wel ORL

Almost two years ago I came to live in a French country town via Jan van der Lee to start an ENT practice in an existing clinic (with a Dutch colleague). Driven by the urge for "something else" and the escape from the increasingly uncomfortable working climate for a doctor in the Netherlands, I found the freedom I was looking for. Yes, you also have bureaucracy here, and a fair amount of paperwork has to be done before you can start, but fortunately there are people who can supervise this very well. After that, everything goes along, and you have a pleasant workplace without interference from health insurers or managers who tell you what to do. You are your own boss and can largely determine how you organize your practice. All in all I work here with pleasure, and I can miss the Dutch involvement of third parties as a toothache.
